There is a saying in Germany, actually coming from the horse people: you can tell by their gear, what kind of people they are...or the dogs are always like their owner:)
Yes I did, but this is an old saying that comes from the times where everybody had horses to get around. Like horse and wagon. In German it is: "Wie der Herr so sein Gescherr"
No, I never competed. I rode most of the time "English" and that was just for fun. Later, I tired "western" styler as we call it, but at the time it was hard find somebody to teach that in Germany. That's where I "ran" into the JRT as well. A lot of horse people have them in Germany.
Wow, Happy Birthday Bridie! I did dressage. Never did much jumping...guess even then I didn't like to cross logs:) (I don't like do do it now on the MTB) Actually I helped out in a stabled that bred pure bred Arabian horses and they had JRT and they are responsible for my love tor them...
Riding My Own Ride! I am working hard to become a better rider (mainly MTB). For the longest time I always got frustrated by better, faster riders and wished, I could ride as well as they rode until I realized that I have to ride my own ride and that is what I am doing now. And the magic about this is that with each pedal stroke, I am getting better, faster and stronger:D

Me too. I used to ride dressage. There were several JRs at the barn where I rode and Bridie (who turned 16 on Saturday) was born there.
