dogwalking in the snow

We have been having sub-zero (Celsius) temperatures for the last two weeks. That's about 10-25 in Fahrenheit.

One would think after seven winters in Nebraska that is no biggy. And I thought the same thing but still felt the cold biting.

Well, I checked the humidity and had to realize that we here in Germany are still at really high percentages, around 70-80%
So, I just layered up a bit more and we (Whiskers, Dodger and I) are off to some fun in the snow. They dig the snow but not the salt and I always thought Germans dont salt that much...wrong.

I do long for some spring green though...

A dog's life...from rescue dog to legwarmer

Mr.D seems very comfy:-)

To all that don't know him. This is Dodger or Mr. D as we call him.

He is a rescue dog from the Jack Russell Terrier Rescue in Omaha

We got Mr.D when he was 11 years old. He was given up twice before and we just recently found out that he has bee-bee shots in his chest...

Dodger will turn 14 on the first of July and a few months ago we thought we would loose him to a liver desease. He is better now, but he is getting older.

Dodger is very food-protective and we had several fights in the house where he attacked Mr. Whiskers...not good, but we have figured out what triggers him and have it under control.

Other than that he is the most wonderful and beautiful dog (yes, I am subjective:). Very loyal and loving and we hope that he is given a few more years before he goes to doggy heaven.

Gotta love Google!

I have been using a Google email account for a while now and I prefer it over other email providers, but that's just my personal opinion and that is not the reason for this blog.

Anyway, if you have a Google or gmail account you've seen it: when you open your emails, it pops up advertisement on the right side of the page. I guess, that is how Google makes money and I don't care, because until today, I never really paid attention to it.

The fascinating thing to me is, that it always picks out keywords from your emails to "match" the ads, so if you have the word Kansas City in your email, a KC job site might come up...again, who cares, right.

Well, today I got an email from Kimberly.
She emailed me something about
Jack Russell Terriers. And sure enough, ads for Jack Russell Terriers (JRT) popped up.
Everybody knows, when it comes to JRT, I listen up, so for once, I did look at all the adds and almost fell off the sofa laughing.

Top Quality Dog Treadmill
"safe-simple-affordable, it's all about you dog"
I had to check it out, since it is all about Mr. Whiskers...

and he is getting kinda lazy:)
And it's a bargain, since I could probably get away with the smaller model which is only $599, plus $100 shipping. But hey, $700 and I don't have to walk my dog anymore. That's totally worth it.
Way more then a cross bike....
